In addition, his research activities continue to focus on regulatory compliance, corporate governance, and electronic discovery and their impact on IT. With an accounting background, Brian also supports ESG’s financial services offerings to vendors and investors. Brian received a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and Marketing from Boston College in Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts.

Gregory Buckles is an independent consultant in corporate discovery technology and work flow solutions. Greg has been on the cutting edge of electronic discovery and compliance. After beginning his career in the public sector, Greg opened a small litigation support business specializing in on-line coding and data analysis in 1994. The business expanded to include consulting and professional services for medical billing, automated records systems and design of web-based applications. He managed Coastal Corporation’s in-house response to the FTC’s second request during the El Paso Corporation merger. The demonstrated efficiencies and return on investment led to the founding of El Paso’s Legal Technology group. He led this group through all of the government investigations, regulatory requests and civil litigation following the California Energy Crisis and the collapse of Enron in 2000.

Brian Garrett is the Technical Director for ESG Lab providing independent hands-on validation and analysis of emerging technologies and products in the storage, data management and information security industries.  Prior to joining ESG, Brian was a founder and CTO of I/O Integrity, a storage startup. During his career, Mr. Garrett has created and managed world-class embedded development, performance measurement and test organizations at companies including EMC, SANgate and Formation.  Mr. Garrett holds a degree in pure Mathematics from Rutgers University and has been awarded nine patents.
