W. Curtis Preston , VP of Data Protection Services, GlassHouse Technologies, Inc., and Ashish Nadkarni, GlassHouse Principal Consultant, GlassHouse Technologies, Inc., will provide advice and insight to help storage professionals manage, grow and optimize SAN technology. A popular presentation at the Storage Decisions conferences, Preston and Nadkarni will expand this popular presentation to a full-day of tips and analysis to help storage managers to best implement and streamline SAN technology.

They will start off the day with the "State of the SAN" address. This is not a primer for beginners, rather a review of the playing field for experienced IT managers which includes insights into the capabilities (and shortcomings) of today's technology, as well as best practices SAN managers employ today.

As the day progresses, they will look at the merits of pooling SAN islands, migration techniques, improving application availability and how to troubleshoot SAN problems. They'll also touch on where NAS fits into the networked storage landscape by addressing NAS gateway and NAS head technology.

Lastly, they'll cover the future of SAN technology and attempt to uncover where SANs are headed.
