Managing data growth is going to prove essential to storage professionals in 2009 as we all try to do more with less. As a result, data reduction technologies like data deduplication, which reduce storage needs by eliminating redundant data, are a tool most organization’s are already considering.

That’s why, after an extremely successful run in 2008, the Data Deduplication seminar is returning for 2009.  And this year, the event will be coming to a city near you.

The technology is ready and the concept is a no-brainer, but there are several decisions to be made before you get started and numerous pitfalls to be avoided.

If you’re considering deduplication, then you owe it to yourself and your organization to attend our new half-day seminar featuring the world’s leading expert on backup and recovery, W. Curtis Preston. At this seminar, Preston goes in-depth into your technology options, shares insights from deployments he’s managed and answers your questions in a small-group seminar setting.

Seating for this breakfast seminar is free for qualified IT professionals, but extremely limited. To claim your seat, apply today by calling Seminar Manager Annabelle Bozin at (508) 621-5530 or complete our quick online application.

If you’ve been to Storage Decisions or attended our Advanced Backup School seminar, you know what a knowledgeable and entertaining speaker Curtis Preston is. Factor in the small-group interactive format, the peer networking with area IT decision-makers and the information you’ll get from the leading providers of deduplication technology -- and this free half-day seminar is a must-attend.

Keynote Speakers

He is the webmaster of BackupCentral.com, the author of hundreds of articles, and the books "Backup and Recovery" and "Using SANs and NAS.

*Please note: Due to the overwhelming interest in data reduction technologies - particularly data deduplication - and the resultant popularity of this seminar series, we're now bringing this event to several additional cities before the end of 2009. We're committed to bringing this valuable, in-demand content to you - in your city - and are pleased to announce that we've lined up the following recognized experts and frequent Storage Decisions speakers to deliver their own independent presentations in the listed cities:
